Everyone loves a GAA/LGFA wedding but finding out how the couple got engaged can be just as exciting, especially if one person went all out!
It's not easy dating a footballer/hurler/camogie player who plays for their county as much of that person's time can be taken up by training and matches.
2024 saw some of our favourite players pop the question. Let's take a look back at who and where!
Derry's Conor Glass and Neeve O'Donnell

It was a fantastic start to the year for Derry's Conor Glass when his girlfriend Neeve O'Donnell said Yes!
The couple got together in 2021 making it official on Instagram while attending a friend's wedding stating 'Le Debut @ Marty and Orla's Wedding.'

Conor went all out asking Neeve to marry him at Adare Manor in county Limerick and from Neeve's face, it looks like the proposal was completely unexpected.
Posting some pictures online Neeve stated, 'I get to spend FOREVER with my best friend.'
Roscommon's Ultan Harney and Kayleigh Dunning

Taking full advantage of the sunshine Roscommon's Ultan Harney and partner Kayleigh headed away from the west, making their way down to the Carton House Hotel in Maynooth for a short break.
Kayleigh posted an array of shots of the special day on her social media and posed for shots as they walked around the grounds of the hotel.
PIC RING
And as every bride-to-be does Kayleigh showed off her ring which contains one large stone. We have to say Ultan, good choice!
Kilkenny camogie star Grace Walsh and Wexford hurler Jack O'Connor

The next engagement is the perfect example of when sports collide. In September Kilkenny camogie star Grace Walsh was delighted when her partner, Wexford hurler Jack O'Connor asked for her hand.

The couple set out for a walk up Killiney Hill, unknown to Grace what the real reason for this trip was, we have a feeling Jack may have been conscious of every step as he made the incline.
At the top of the hill, looking out over Dublin, the right corner-forward popped the question and of course, Grace said 'yes!'
Grace and Jack embraced and took some time to take it all in and enjoy their special moment.
Roscommon's Diarmuid Murtagh and Seanna Mohan

Described as one of the best players of the modern era in GAA, Roscommon's Diarmuid Murtagh had something other than football on his mind in July!
Heading to Santorini on holiday with his girlfriend Seanna, they headed out on a boat, with the island behind them and a beautiful sunset in the sky. Taking it all in Diarmuid got down on one knee and asked his girlfriend of five years if she would marry him...so sweet!

Delighted with the ring, Seanna, a nurse from Monaghan, showed off her diamond to the camera as she held a glass of wine, smiling from ear to ear.
Galway's Aoife NÃ Cheallaigh and Limerick's David Reidy

When the championship season came to an end, Aoife and David headed off to catch some sunshine with David having a special plan in place.
Together for ten years, the couple met in college and their love for sport gave them that extra spark.
Heading off to Majorca, Aoife had no idea what David had in store.
She told EVOKE' It was very simple, very low key. We were out for a walk on the cliffs and he surprised me and it was lovely I was shocked. I wasn't expecting it there and then. I suppose we've been gone out so long maybe it was the next step, but it definitely was a shocker.'
Roscommon's Enda Smith and Jean Flanagan

There must have been 'something in the water,' in Roscommon as 2024 saw its third proposal in November with the county team's Enda Smith.
And just like the rest of his fellow GAA buddies, he went all out, bringing his other half to New York to ask the big question!
Standing in what looks like Central Park, they stood beneath the autumn leaves as they posed for their first picture as an engaged couple.
