It looks like the world's favourite chocolate maker has fallen out of favour with King Charles as they have been dropped by the Royal house.

The scrumptious chocolate has lost its royal warrant this year which would see the company be one of the top companies to deliver treats to the palace.

The royal warrant is given to certain companies across the country that will in turn deliver goods to the household.

This connection between the monarchy and a supplier is granted for up to five years and is then renewed or dropped.

But it looks like Cadbury is not the only one whose contract has melted with over 100 brands stripped of this warrant.

While the reason why the King made this decision is unknown some believe it is due to the connection that the owners, Mondelez have with Russia.

The company are sent a letter to inform them of the change but a reason is never given as to why their contract has been terminated.

So if you are heading to Buckingham Palace anytime soon for tea, it looks like you may just have to settle for Nestlé chocolate.
