It's felt like a long time coming but today marked Harry and Meghan's last outing as royals and they were clearly keen to put on a united front.
The two joined the Queen and other senior royals for the Commonwealth Day service at Westminister Abbey, but unlike last year were conducted to their seats rather than waiting for the Queen's arrival and walking through the church with the procession as they did last year.

This was the first time that Kate had joined her in-laws publicly since she and Harry decided to forgo their royal titles, and while they attended a church service with the Queen at the weekend, it was the first time they would come face to face with Kate and Prince William.

All eyes were on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, and not shying away from the media spotlight, Meghan stepped out in a green ensemble by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, who is based in London.
The midi dress which appears to have been custom-made for the Duchess featured a matching cape, which she teamed with a complementary green hat by William Chambers.
This was paired with a Gabriella Hearst handbag and nude heels by her favourite designer shoe brand Aquazurra.
While Meghan's outfit was an unusual choice for her, given her penchant for neutrals, there was a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment that showed the world that she and Harry were subtly putting united front.

Whether this was just for themselves or they knew there was a chance the world would notice is unknown but for a moment Harry's jacket was caught in the wind, revealing that the lining of his suit was exactly the same shade as that of his wife's eye-catching number.
There's no missing the message that kind of choice sends to onlookers. The couple that twins, is the couple that wins!
This isn't the first time this week that the two have been sartorially in sync. Harry and Meghan also wowed at an event earlier in the week when they again twinned their outfit colour choices.
As Captain General of the Royal Marines Harry attended the the Mountbatten Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall in his scarlet red mess dress uniform adorned with medals, including the one that he received following his tours in Afghanistan.

In another show of wardrobe unity, Meghan wore a show-stopping scarlet Safiyaa dress which also featured a cape detail much like the green Emilia Wickstead dress.
It's clear that Meghan has become a lot more daring in her fashion choices since stepping back from royal duties, so we will be watching this space avidly for more.
