Harry and Meghan join the Queen for their final royal engagement

Today is the day: Harry and Meghan's final engagement as senior royals sees them attending the Commonwealth Service in Westminster Abbey.

The couple arrived at the venue on Monday afternoon ahead of Prince William and Kate Middleton and all took their seats before the royal procession.

It was revealed earlier that unlike last year, neither the Cambridges nor the Sussexes were taking part in the procession and would be escorted to their seats prior to the Queen's arrival.

The Queen arrived to much fanfare and cheers from the crowd before making her way into The Abbey.

Others in attendance include Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his pregnant fiancee Carrie Symonds, singers Alexandra Burke and Craig David, and Geri Horner née Halliwell attended with her daughter Bluebell.

The US Ambassador to the UK Woody Johnson was also in attendance and was apparently seen giving someone an elbow bump as opposed to a handshake in light of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Harry and Meghan's exclusion from the procession was confirmed when the Order of Service was released prior to the event but William and Kate's omission appears to have been a last-minute change.

The Order of Service had been printed prior to the Service and indicated that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were initially set to take part in the royal procession with the Queen but that was changed before the event.

Harry and Meghan arrived after the Earl and Countess of Wessex for their last royal engagement before their Megxit deal kicks in at the end of the month.

The couple will be dropping their HRH titles from March 31 and moving to North America on a semi-permanent basis.

Meghan opted for a green dress by Emilia Wickstead and hat by William Chambers.

Kate opted for a red Catherine Walker coat dress and a hat by Sally Ann Provan.

Both Prince Harry and Prince William opted for ties that matched their wive's outfits.
