Spencer Matthews and Jamie Laing's fallout has been the subject of speculation for months, and now the years-long pals have revealed the reason behind their rift.
Speculation that the pair were no longer friends began when Spencer and Vogue Williams were snubbed from Jamie and his wife Sophie Habboo's wedding.
Now the Made in Chelsea co-stars have confirmed the incident that put their friendship on the rocks, revealing it was in fact due to a misunderstanding surrounding Spencer's sobriety.

Spencer sat down on Jamie's podcast, Great Company, to reveal a breakdown of the communication that happened when he thought it would not be an issue if he turned down an invite to Jamie's stag do.
The dad-of-three made the decision to avoid the boozy weekend as he has been sober since 2018, and has struggled with alcohol issues in the past. However, Jamie perceived the move as 'insulting.'

Jamie then retaliated by not inviting his best pal to his chic courthouse wedding with Sophie, who is also a Made in Chelsea alum.
Spencer admitted: 'I was pretty hurt by that, and I tried to brush that under the table. I'm sure it wasn't malicious from you, at least I'd like to think it wasn't.'
'I was flying back from somewhere, and Vogue showed me a Daily Mail article that literally showed me your London wedding celebrations and loads of your friends there,' he told his pal.

'I think we had had some conversation and you were like, "It's not really a friends thing, it's a family small thing". And there were loads of friends there.'
Jamie admitted his wrongdoing, saying it was 'a genuine big mistake from me.' He confessed: 'For me, what happened was I had my English wedding and you weren't invited to it, and that kicked off stuff to not make us friends.'

'I had had my stag do and you didn't want to come to the stag do, which was fine, which I get, but for me that was like, "Well, why wouldn't you want to come to the stag do?"'
He went on to explain how he was trying to keep his first wedding small for his wife's sake, as she was becoming extremely stressed by the ordeal. Their main focus had always been their bigger wedding in Spain.

Jamie went on to say he didn't know if Spencer would even want to attend the intimate lunch reception, as he had passed on the stag.
However, Spencer quickly squashed this belief, saying: 'For the record, I would have loved to have been there and I would have flown from anywhere to be there. You've always been a very important person to me.'
'It's a breakdown of communication. In retrospect, I probably should have come to your stag do for two nights and just not drunk.
'That was kind of selfish of me. You saw it as insulting, and I didn't. And then I think we just lost a bit of touch.' All seems to be well between our favourite Chelsea party boys once more!
