This September, it’s time to roll up those sleeves and root out that long-lost apron, and add a fabulous splash of pink to your favourite cake recipes -because boring beige buns just won’t cut it anymore.

Bake It Pink is back, baby! Breast Cancer Ireland’s much-loved fundraiser - sponsored by the deliciously dependable Dr. Oetker- is your official permission slip to eat cake and feel virtuous doing it.

The idea is as simple as it is brilliant: bake something pink, invite your friends, family, or colleagues to join in, and raise funds for Ireland’s leading breast cancer charity.

From office bake-offs to kitchen table cake tastings, it’s about turning everyday moments into something powerful. And the best part? Every whisk, swirl, and sprinkle helps to support education programmes that spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer - knowledge that saves lives.

In just two years, Bake It Pink has already raised an impressive €200,000, and this year it’s set to rise even higher with the help of two fabulous ambassadors: Lou Robbie (aka Little Lou Cooks) and Alice Kelly (From Scratch Bakery).

Both are using their platforms to show that baking can be more than just a treat - it can be a force for change.

Breast Cancer Ireland’s CEO Aisling Hurley says it best: campaigns like this prove that when people come together, amazing things happen.

‘We know that baking has the power to bring people together - and what better reason to get out the mixing bowls than supporting life-saving research?’ she said. ‘Whether you're a star baker or a first-time froster, every bun, biscuit and cupcake baked makes a difference.’

With over 3,700 people diagnosed with breast cancer in Ireland each year, awareness has never been more important but Bake It Pink makes starting the conversation fun, creative, and full of heart.

Getting involved is easy. Free Bake It Pink kits are available to download at Breast Cancer Ireland’s website, packed with cake toppers, posters, and recipes to get you started.

Think pink cupcakes, raspberry cheesecakes, or biscuits with a rose-hued glaze... anything goes - as long as it’s pink! (And delicious).
