Weeks on from his big day, newlywed Brian McFadden is still smiling from ear to ear when chatting about his and wife Danielle's wedding.
The intimate ceremony was planned to take place on the sand at Lusty Glaze Beach in Newquay, but the rainy weather had other ideas, moving them inside, with celebrations continuing in the restaurant.
Speaking with EVOKE at the 27th Annual Marie Keating Foundation's Celebrity Golf Classic, he remembered the magical moment he saw Danielle and their daughter, Ruby, and spilled on their unusual honeymoon plans.
Before heading off on the golf course, Brian said: 'It was the best week ever... everyone in the family loved it and it was just crazy that when it finished, it was actually the next day we had to go to London to Eddie Jordan's memorial.
'So we kind of finished the wedding and kind of went from a celebration to a sad thing, and it was kind of weird.'
Speaking more about his wedding day, Brian added: 'The wedding got disrupted a little bit because of the rain, so we were supposed to get married on the beach and it rained that morning, so we had to move everything back inside.'
While tradition states the groom is not supposed to see the bride before the wedding, Brian wasn't worried about superstitions.
Due to the rain, he said: 'I had to sit with her [Danielle] and talk to her and when I walked in the morning and saw her I was like, "wow." She had worked so hard.
'She just looked stunning and to see her there with Ruby, the two of them together, it was just magic.'
With a wedding generally comes a honeymoon but Brian said the couple has something totally different in mind rather than the usual sunny destination.
'People keep asking if you're going to go on a honeymoon but because we travel all the time with work and Dani and Ruby are always with me, to us a honeymoon is just staying at home for a week sitting on our own couch, sleeping in our own bed,' he said.
Yes, home comforts are exactly what the couple are looking forward to but Brian says when it comes to chilling out and watching the box, there are certain rules.
Laughing he said: 'I get to watch golf for four hours and then the rest of the day is Loose Women,' and other girly programs, but he says he doesn't mind.
