The Cregg family are certainly blessed with talent as not only one but three of them play for their county Roscommon tackling some of the best players in the country.

At just 22, the rossi followed in his dad's footsteps making it on to the team and is considered as one of their best players.

However, Daire shares the spotlight not only with his brother Oisin, but sister Caoimhe who plays for the women's Roscommon team.

Daire has taken on the position of ambassador for the Electric Ireland GAA Higher Education Championships where those from all different counties get a chance to play side by side.

With a family immersed in sports Daire says when it comes to his parents there is 'a bit  pulling and dragging,' when it comes to who will go to a competition or game.

Chatting to EVOKE he said that with Oisin, Daire and Caoimhe playing for their county there is also 'A younger sister playing football, a younger brother who is not as big into football but does Irish dancing, and he's he's very good at it.'

And as a new season approaches for the men and the women Daire says that while they all love football and there can be a fair bit of slagging from time to time, when it comes to commnentary on each other's matches, they keep schtum.

Laughing he says 'I keep my mouth shut and don't get myself in any trouble...I just say nothing and get on with it and watch it and try and enjoy it...You wouldn't be passing too much comment on sisters or brothers playing.'

Probably the best way to be.
