We have all heard of the 'resting bitch face,' but now Cillian Murphy may just be responsible for a new craze...the 'resting bored face.'
The actor was joined by Taylor Swift, as well as fellow Irishman Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Lewis Capaldi on the late-night talk show to promote his new film, Steve.
And while the banter was flowing, Cillian soon found himself tiring of the conversation when Taylor Swift started talking about her engagement, judging by the look on his face.

The singer set the internet ablaze this summer when she announced that her partner, Travis Kelce, had popped the question, and when she appeared on the red couch, this topic was top of the list.
Fans soon picked up on Cillian's reactions to her conversation, or should we say lack of.
While Taylor was buzzing with excitement, at times, the Irish actor looked like he was completely zoned out or about to nod off.

Eagle-eyed fans picked up on this straight away and took to their social media, many claiming he was 'performing mental gymnastics,' while the singer was speaking.

A rake of one-liner comments made their way online: 'Resting bored face. I get it, Cillian,' Here's for Cillian's facial expressions,' Is it me or does Cillian look like he didn't give a s*** but tried to look like he did.'

People just couldn't get enough of what many believed to be a lack of enthusiasm/interest in her story- 'The way Cillian Murphy always looks I want to master.'

'My all-time favourite guy, Cillian Murphy. You can tell he just wants to go home.'

However, many fans of the actor had his back, claiming that this was nothing personal to Taylor and that this was just how he carries himself.
This is not the first time, though, that the Cork man's look has come under fire.
At the Golden Globes last year, when he won Best Actor in a Motion Picture: Drama for his part in Oppenheimer, it was his 'bored' look that made people's tongues wag.

While Cillian has never addressed this, the next show he is due on may just have to look at the panel they have on and hope they can entertain him.
