Colin Farrell may have reached extreme heights in his career after making a name for himself in Hollywood, but there was a time when the Dubliner received a devastating rejection!
The Penguin star had once auditioned to be in Boyzone, recalling the moment Louis Walsh approached him while he was dancing in The Pod nightclub in Dublin in the 1990s.
'Louis came up to me in The Pod because I was on the dance floor in a pair of leather jeans and a rubber black t-shirt, giving it socks, and he came up and he said, "I'm making a boy band and I want you to come",' Colin explained to Alison Hammond on This Morning, joined by Margot Robbie.

'I sang Careless Whisper twice, and then the next day my mam said, "Louis Walsh on the phone."' It was that moment he was informed by the Boyzone manager that it 'wasn't going to work out' with Colin, joking that his 'dreams were dashed.'
However, there is clearly no bad blood between him and the boys who did make the cut, as they even recorded a video for Alison Hammond to show the actor on air.
Shane Lynch and Keith Duffy from Boyzone gushed over Colin in the message, joking that they are glad he didn't get into the band because he is 'too good looking.'

Shane said: 'Hey Col, I'm actually really happy you were never in Boyzone. You're far too good-looking. You can always dance, and you're an amazing singer,' he joked.
Keith joked: 'But don't worry, I think someday something will go right for you, brother.'
Colin was clearly touched by the gas message, calling it 'very sweet.' Adorable!
