You know what they say, there is no taste like home, and Colin Farrell got hit with all those emotions while on air recently... but unfortunately got caught out for it!

The Irish actor has been busy promoting his new movie A Big Bold Beautiful Journey with his co-star Margot Robbie, and their most recent venture found them on The Today Show in the US.

To finish off the show, co-host Craig Melvin brought out a special Irish delicacy for the pair- a crisp sandwich, made with Tayto crisps. Once Colin had a bite, all media training went out the window.

The Aussie actress started off their conversation by tucking into the crisp sandwich, saying how hungry she was for a bite as she had not had any breakfast yet.

'That's not bad!', Colin the crisp connoisseur said. 'Is that Tayto?' the Banshees of Inishiren actor asked. Someone replied 'yeah, it is', to which Colin's only response was 'yeah. I f**king knew it!'.

Although his taste buds did not deceive him, his potty mouth certainly did and the actor had both Margot and Craig laughing.

Immediately realising what he just said, the actor put his hands up and shook his head, apologising. 'You eat this-oh my god' said Craig, with a full audience giggling behind him.

The 49-year-old went on to say that everyone 'misheard him' from his full mouth, that he said 'freaking' instead of the curse word. 'They misheard you, they couldn't hear right?', Margot chimed in, still giggling away at the Irish actor's blunder.

People reacted hilariously to the video, posting their comments underneath the post. 'I laughed out loud when it happened this morning! Haha everyone's faces!' said one person.

Another penned: 'Collin lost all interest in promoting their movie once the Chippy sandwich came out. This is hilarious!!'

And a third wrote: 'After one bite of a crisp sandwich and he forgot all media training and went full Irish'.

Both Colin and Margot have been enjoying their time promoting their film to the world. Recently spotted together at the London premiere, the film tells the story of a couple who meet at a wedding and are swept up in an otherworldly adventure.
