Strictly's Thomas Skinner shocked fans when he admitted to cheating on his wife Sinead with beautician Amy-Lucy O’Rourke in 2022, but the confession didn't come as a shock to his long-time love.
Sinead's pal has spoken out about the ordeal, revealing that while she is understandably upset, she has already processed the betrayal and forgiven her husband a long time ago.
Thomas, who is best known for taking part in The Apprentice in 2019, is taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing, which got underway on Saturday on BBC One.

Sinead's friend told The Sun on Sunday: 'This has, of course, all been upsetting for Sinead. The attention has been difficult for her as it brings it all back but she is resilient and her family is strong, her marriage is strong,'
They added: 'And, as she says, she knew about this more than three years ago, and they dealt with the aftermath together back then. This is old news to her; she forgave him then.'
Earlier this month, Thomas admitted to having an affair just a few weeks after his wedding to Sinéad in May 2022.
According to The Daily Mail, Thomas had been friends with Amy-Lucy, an aesthetician, but this soon progressed into an affair with the reality TV star.

Thomas came clean this month about his infidelity and revealed that the affair only lasted two weeks, but once Amy-Lucy heard this, she decided to give her side.
Speaking exclusively to the publication, she said 'Thomas told me I was the love of his life and sold me an absolute dream. He told me he was in a loveless relationship of convenience.'
And Amy-Lucy didn't hold back, telling them how 'Thomas told me I was the love of his life and sold me an absolute dream,...he made me believe we were in love and that we were perfect for each other.'

Oh, and the other detail she added was that their love affair was three months and not just two weeks!
Taking to his social media, Thomas has tried to apologise to his wife and family, as well as those he hurt, but he also gave readers the impression that there may be more secrets that could come to light.
The star highlighted that 'My life ain't perfect... far from it. I’ve made big mistakes, I’ve let people down, and done things I’ll always regret in my past. The worst was what I did to my wife three and a half years ago… one stupid moment I’ll carry forever.'

'It was nothing more and nothing less, despite what is being said. I told her straight away. She had every right to leave me back then, but she forgave me…….and that forgiveness changed my life.'
He continued his message by stating that since his revelation, he has become 'public enemy number one,' and that much of what has been said, since telling his own truth, is just lies.
While Thomas apologised profusely, a section of his message did raise a few eyebrows when it said 'Ive got an extremely chequered past… more than most. I’ve never shied away from that. I’ve made mistakes, and if you dig you’ll find more. But here’s the truth: most people have made mistakes. It’s okay to own up to them, it’s okay to talk about them, and people do deserve second chances.'
With the show having kicked off this weekend, Thomas will have to work hard to win the crowd over.
