There is nothing like a wedding for all the family to get together, and over the weekend Miriam O'Callaghan gathered with hers in Wexford to celebrate her niece's big day alongside her 97-year-old mum.
The PrimeTime host gushed over her niece Lizzie, who made for a beautiful bride on her special day. Miriam shared a host of snaps of her wedding, posing with the happy couple, as well as with her own mum and kids.
Lizzie, who tied the knot with her love Ahmad, is the daughter of Miriam's sister Anne, who tragically died of cancer when she was only 33 and Lizzie was just two.
Miriam has huge admiration for her, so as you can imagine, when the invite came in the door, it was an automatic 'Yes.'
Posting pictures on her social Miriam congratulated the couple, excited for what the future has in store for them.
'V special weekend celebrating my precious niece @lizziejayyy wedding to @ahmadm94 - her mum Anne, my sister, died of cancer aged 33 when Lizzie was only 2. So a very special celebration,' she penned.
'My 97-year-old mum enjoyed it most of all. ‘Your Song’ was their wedding song,' she wrote.
The wedding is the second ceremony that the pair had to celebrate their love, after the couple previously celebrated with a more laid-back ceremony.
Miriam also shared snaps of the celebration at the time.
She wrote 'My beloved niece Lizzie just married her beloved Ahmad - a beautiful couple, inside and out. It's hard to express just how happy this occasion was, incredibly emotional and truly glorious.'
The bride didn't go for a traditional white dress and wore a white crepe tailored jacket and dress.
Keeping her accessories simple, she wore an elegant pearl necklace with earrings and a headband to match.
The groom was just as dapper in an off white suit with a black tie and pocket square to match.
While it is unknown whether the couple stayed at home or went abroad for their wedding, it looked like a small, intimate occasion with the closest people in their lives invited.
Lizzie's cousins also turned out for the occasion with Miriam's daughters, Georgia and Alannah, jumping in for a shot with the bride.
Miriam has a soft spot for her niece, in the past highlighting how proud she is of her and that she 'loves her to the moon and back.'
