'Get cancelled for something f*****g cool' Garron Noone is the latest to weigh in on the Electric Picnic Coca-Cola drama.
Scores of Irish influencers have come under fire for staying in the 'posh' branded tents by the soft drink company during the festival, with accusations they were plugging the brand, a festival sponsor flying left, right and centre online.
Coca-Cola has also been hit with calls for a boycott from activist group Palestine Solidarity Campaign over claims that the brand has a regional distribution centre in an Israeli settlement in the eastern part of the country.

WhoProfits reports that Central Beverage Company, otherwise known as Coca-Cola Israel, which has the exclusive rights to distribute the soft drink in Israel, has a regional distribution centre and cooling houses in the Atarot Settlement Industrial Zone.
It's also claimed by the outlet that its subsidiary, Tabor Winery, also produces wine from grapes sourced from occupied lands in the West Bank and Syrian Golan.
In July 2024, the International Court of Justice declared that Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories, including East Jerusalem, contravenes international law, prompting backlash against Coca-Cola.

As the dust cleared on Electric Picnic and some tickets already selling out for the 2026 festival, many are outraged by the number of well-known influencers choosing to stay in the Coca-Cola tents as invited guests.
Garron acknowledged the drama by joking that if influencers were going to get cancelled, it should be for something cooler than not bringing a tent.
'What a way to go down, if you're going to get cancelled, get cancelled for something f*****g cool. You don't want to be looking back, going, 'I wish I'd just brought a tent.'

That said, he also had plenty to say about people pointing fingers at influencers, saying he strongly suspects that many of them also went to Electric Picnic despite its Coca-Cola sponsorship.
'A lot of people who are complaining about this, who get their fingers out at every opportunity in my opinion for views, also went to Electric Picnic.
'Interesting one, because Electric Picnic is partnered with Coke. I don't know exactly where he f*****g line is but it's somewhere between going to a festival that's sponsored by a brand and going to a festival that's sponsored by a brand in a slightly nicer tent.'
Garron insisted that he wasn't just sticking up for his fellow influencers and that he had turned down the opportunity to work with Coca-Cola in the past, but still used other boycotted products and that nobody's perfect
'You're not better than everybody, and you're not really f*****g helping anyone either. I just wanted to let you know I think this is a bit f*****g stupid.

Boycotts are great... I think they're excellent, but if you're not observing a boycott, you can't lose your mind because someone is observing a boycott slightly less than you.
He signed off, urging people to redirect their energy into a fundraiser and pledged to match donations up to a couple of thousand euro.
