While some are still recovering from last weekend's Electric Picnic, tickets for the 2026 event have already sold out in record time – despite zero announcements being made about next year’s acts.
The festival, held annually in Stradbally, Co. Laois, was enjoyed by 80,000 music lovers this year with another 80,000 expected for the 2026 edition.
Tickets went on sale at 9am on Wednesday, and by 10.40am, Electric Picnic bosses announced the entire allocation had sold out.

Taking to social media, they wrote: ‘WOW! We’re blown away! Just like that, Electric Picnic 2026 is COMPLETELY sold out!
'If you managed to secure a golden ticket, we’ll see you in Stradbally next year! We can’t wait to do it with you all again!’

The 2025 festival saw stars such as Fatboy Slim (cue Derry Girls like scream), Chappell Roan, and Hozier take to the stage.
Kneecap was another must-see act, with the trio breaking all records for the largest audience at an Electric Picnic performance. Their set is now available to watch on the TG4 Player.

When the first release of tickets for 2025 dropped, they also sold out almost immediately in August 2024 and the final release of tickets being snapped up almost as quickly in April.
Ahead of next year's event, the festival has also reintroduced a loyalty scheme for ticketholders who attended the 2025 festival, which will see them offered tickets for the following year at a discounted price.
