Limerick's Kyle Hayes has been in and out of court over the past few months and has now avoided jail after a judge deemed him suitable for community service.
Less than 24 hours after he was named Man of the Match in Limerick's defeat of Cork, the GAA star returned to court on Monday.
Judge Dara Hayes previously indicated that he faced serving 180 hours of community service in lieu of three months in jail. However, the judge has cautioned Kyle would be going to prison if he committed further criminal offences.

The suspended jail term was imposed on Kyle after a jury convicted him of two counts of committing violent disorder at Limerick's the Icon nightclub, in 2019, charges he denied in court in 2023.
The judge said he would make 'no order' on the GAA player's second conviction for violent disorder, in respect of the same night at the Limerick club in 2019.

Judge Hayes said Kyle must complete the community service order within 12 months.
With all that's been happening in Kyle's life in recent years, one person has been standing by his side, his girlfriend Claire Fitzgerald.

Picking up an All-Star Award for his performance on the field in 2024, his partner Claire was there by his side to celebrate with him.
This was the third time that she attended the event. She made her first appearance with Kyle in 2022 at the Convention Centre in Dublin.
Claire wore a sparkly red dress that flowed down to the floor, while Kyle wore a traditional black tuxedo.

Kyle is not one to hide his social media, but his girlfriend Claire's is strictly private. And he respects her privacy, When it comes to their relationship, Kyle has only posted a picture of the couple together, which was in July 2023.
The pair stood before the camera, with Claire in her Limerick jersey, meeting her partner as he came off the pitch.
At the time, he wrote: 'Very grateful to be a part of this journey with the team, thanks to all for the support shown throughout the year!’
