Homeware from the high street has a new location as Penneys has just opened its first-ever store in Ireland that exclusively sells the home collection.
The standalone Primark Home store opened in Belfast on Thursday, offering affordable household essentials including 500-thread count bed linen, towels, stylish tableware, kitchen ceramics, and small furniture.
The store is located in the 8,700 sq foot Fountain House building, in Donegall Place, just a one-minute walk from the flagship Primark Bank Buildings store and will see 40 new retail jobs created for the city.

The opening of Primark Home comes as the retailer launched its first homeware collection inspired by Pinterest trends this week.
This edit included products from spring floral crockery to soft pink frill bedding split over three separate trendy categories; Minamaluxe, Dainty Décor, and Cosy Cottage.

The collection will see some of Pinterest's hottest homeware trends come to life in stylish, budget-friendly pieces with pink, dainty Coquette Decor for a dream girlie home, to frilly florals and countryside aesthetic in Cosy Cottage, as well as soft textures and earth tones in Minamaluxe.

Influencer Dominique Nugent went along to the launch of the Belfast store and showed off the cute cottagecore pieces inside the store.
She said: 'I've been waiting for this store to open, and the timing couldn’t be better—just finished the house, and now it’s time for the fun part: decorating!'
Customers in Belfast will also have exclusive access to a new home range, the Primark Home Edit, four weeks before it is released in other stores across the country.

The Primark Home Edit is the budget store's 'superior-quality collection' which features luxury 500-thread count bedding, plush towels, rich home fragrances, and lightweight ceramic tableware.

Fintan Costello, Head of Penneys Ireland and Northern Ireland, said: 'This is a big step forward for the Primark brand as we continue to evolve our offering in line with the needs and wants of our loyal customers.
'We’ve seen a real surge in interest for our homeware ranges which is why we’re thrilled to launch the world’s first-ever Primark Home store in Belfast today.

'Ever since the reopening of our Bank Buildings store, the shoppers of Belfast have really embraced Primark and we’re incredibly proud to bring further investment to the city in return.
'The opening of this standalone store has also given us the opportunity to enhance Bank Buildings, where we can now offer bigger and better kids’ and menswear departments.'
