Stacey Dooley has revealed that she suffered an ectopic pregnancy last year and had to undergo emergency surgery.
The TV presenter is already mum to a two-year-old daughter called Minnie, whom she shares with her partner Kevin Clifton, and spoke candidly about wanting to expand their family.
During a conversation on her show Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, she revealed her own fertility struggles.

Stacey emotionally began: ‘We obviously wanted to expand our family, and last year I fell pregnant and it didn’t go brilliantly’.
Recalling she learned that her pregnancy was ectopic, Stacey broke into tears, adding: ‘I am so sorry because this is so predictable. I am sat here, crying on a bed.’

‘It was ectopic, and it was really f***ing difficult’, Stacey recalled. Alongside the heartbreak of her ectopic pregnancy, Stacey was also rushed into surgery as a result of an internal rupture.
The 38-year-old continued: ‘There was an internal rupture and there had to be emergency surgery. Of course, when you go through something like that, you are forced to think of alternatives.’
She concluded: ‘S**t happens, and if you want a bigger family, you have to think how you’re going to do that.’
Stacey was chatting with Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, who is well known for being half of one of the first gay couples to have a child via surrogate in Britain

The HSE explains: ‘An ectopic pregnancy is a pregnancy that grows outside of the womb.
'It cannot develop into a baby and it could put your health at risk if the pregnancy continues. Ectopic pregnancies affect 1 in every 80 pregnancies in Ireland.'
Stacey and Kevin met after she competed on Strictly Come Dancing. Since then, they've gone from strength to strength and welcomed their daughter in 2023.
