The synopsis of the show reads ' House of Guinness explores an epic story inspired by one of Europe's most famous and enduring dynasties - the Guinness Family. '

'Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the story begins immediately after the death of Sir Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact of his will on the fate of his four adult children, Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben, as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the phenomenon that is Guinness.'

Created by the mind behind Peaky Blinders, writer and producer Steven Knight worked along side Kudos and Nebulastar studios to create the show. The series is set to unveil the dark and twisted secrets behind the Guinness siblings and their struggle to work together after their father's death.

The trailer opens up to 1860's Dublin, where horse and carriages roamed the streets, and tension was brewing between the workers inside the Guinness factory, and its new owners. Arthur and Edward Guinness.

Chaos ensues as the estate of the late Sir Benjamin Guinness is divvied between the four siblings, with Steven Knight saying 'The first priority is not to screw it up, and the second priority is to make it even bigger'. 'I feel it wise not to burden Benjamin and Anne with the temptations that come with fortune' Sir Benjamin's will executor tells his children in the trailer, placing a division within the family.
