Designer Lisa McCormack of jewellery brand Capulet & Montague has launched her new Spring Summer 2025 accessory collection, as the latest chapter in her celebrated This Is Art series.

The colourful and expressive designs are a vibrant ode to Henri Matisse’s bold, joyful forms blended with tender nostalgia for an Irish country childhood. And they are gorgeous.

‘Progressing and evolving,’ is how Lisa describes her multi-award-winning jewellery label, which she first launched in 2012.

€65

Guided by a passion for sustainability, innovation, and a dedication to craftsmanship, this Longford-born designer has rapidly made an impression in the world of contemporary jewellery with her very distinctive, rainbow-hued designs.

This summer collection draws inspiration from the graceful return of the house martins, (the small, migratory birds known for building mud nests under the eaves of buildings), the untamed bloom of garden flowers, and the vivid, pastel tones of glucose barley sweets, all expressed in abstract, fluid shapes that echo both emotion and movement.

They epitomise the joy of summer and the rush of emotion that being out in nature can inspire.

Each piece is brought to life in a palette of sugary yellows, vibrant pinks, and sea-glass blues (using recycled acrylic wherever possible which reduces the demand for newly produced materials and minimises waste) —evoking the warmth of carefree afternoons and skies filled with birdsong.

Artful, evocative, and wearable, the collection is a celebration of memory, nature, and colour all fused into a glorious display of fluid shapes with a sensual, organic feel.

Not surprisingly Lisa is renowned for her use of colour in bold expressive designs, and this collection continues in the same vein making a striking kaleidoscopic statement.

Lisa’s ability to marry unusual and arresting colour combinations that enhances the beauty of each piece is a key element of her work.

With a keen understanding of how colours interact and complement various skin tones, she fashions pieces that not only captivate the eye but also possess the ability to transform everyday outfits into expressions of individuality.

Whether it’s rebellion, power, or play, each piece becomes what the wearer needs it to be and acts as a personal talisman.

The pieces are so visually striking that they can elevate even the simplest pieces like a white T-shirt or an LBD instantly.

As such, they represent excellent value for money as they can be used to create new looks from existing pieces in your wardrobe.
