Louise Cooney and her fiancé Mark Sweeney have chosen a wedding venue that holds deep personal meaning for the influencer, Cashel Palace in Tipperary owned by billionaire Coolmore stud boss owner John Magnier and his wife Susan
For Louise, the location is especially significant because it’s where both her parents are from and where she spent much of her childhood.
Speaking to EVOKE, she revealed: 'We always spent so much time growing up in the church in Tipperary, so getting married there makes it extra special,' she explains.
When they first walked into Cashel Palace, the warm hospitality and friendly staff made the venue feel like home- one staff member even knew Louise’s grandfather, which felt like a sign that this was the right place for their big day.
While Louise and Mark did consider getting married abroad, in the end, they decided that home was where their hearts truly belonged.
Family has played a huge role throughout the wedding planning process, with both sets of parents joining them for menu tastings on Tuesday.
'They’ve been such a help,' Louise said. 'We all actually agreed on the same food, which made that part stress-free and really fun.'
Despite her large online fanbase, Louise isn’t feeling pressured by the public eye as the wedding day approaches. 'We know what’s important and that is us getting married, so we’re just focusing on that,' she said.
'Even if I wasn’t a content creator, I’d still be excited about capturing the day with nice pictures and videos,' she added.
For Louise, the usual Irish weather concerns are not stressing the couple at all. 'No one really expects good weather in Ireland during winter, so we’re just embracing it.'
One thing Louise is most excited about is the speeches, particularly those from Mark and their dads. 'Mark is such an amazing speaker, I’ve seen him in action at many weddings,' she said.
While she hasn’t yet decided if she’ll give a speech herself, she’s eager to hear from the most important men in their lives. And no doubt their son Jude will be adorable in his role as page boy.
When it comes to pre-wedding celebrations, Louise and Mark are keeping things traditional with separate hen and stag parties. Louise revealed that she is happy to leave the planning up to their friends, trusting that whatever they do will be great craic.
For wedding inspiration, Louise admitted that she has started gathering ideas on Pinterest, but is confident her photographer will bring plenty of suggestions to the table when the time comes.
