Dr Tony Holohan has officially married his love, Ciara Cronin. The newlyweds tied the knot on Saturday after picking a pretty unique location to exchange their vows.
The bride and groom are clearly fans of the sea, as they got married at the National Maritime Museum in Dún Laoghaire. The couple opted for an intimate ceremony, surrounded by the nearest and dearest.
The former chief medical officer picked his son, Ronan, to be his best man, as he revealed that Ciara shares a great relationship with both him and his other child, Clodagh. Meanwhile, the blushing bride chose her sister Elaine to act as her 'best woman.'

Tony opened up about the special day, telling the Irish Independent: 'We were surrounded by our families and closest friends. Ciara has a wonderful relationship with my children, Clodagh and Ronan — so it felt natural that Ronan was our best man.'
'It was a beautiful day from start to finish,' he added. He looked handsome in a navy suit and crisp white shirt on the special occasion, as he posed by the sea with his bride.

Ciara didn't choose a traditional bridal gown, opting instead for a silk Dolce & Gabbana midi dress with a bright floral pattern. The fitted beige number featured a red, green, blue, and pink print that matched the bride's red rose bouquet.
She styled her blonde hair into a flattering, bouncy blow-dry and wore simple pearl jewellery for the happy occasion. The newly married couple is set to jet off on a honeymoon to France for a relaxing few weeks.
Posting shots of the big day on his social media, he said, 'My heart is full of joy and happiness- a beautiful day shared with the people we love.'

Tony surprised his followers when he revealed that the pair were engaged last week, with just a few days to go until the wedding. The health physician took to social media to share a selfie of the then-fiancés to announce the news.
'One week to go to our big day- I’m so happy that Ciara and I will spend the rest of our lives together,' he captioned the sweet post as they basked in the Dún Laoghaire sunshine near the site of their ceremony.
Tony revealed that he had started seeing Ciara back in 2023, two years after his wife, Dr Emer Feely, died at the height of the pandemic from multiple myeloma.

He previously spoke about finding love in his soon-to-be wife after the tragedy of Emer's passing. Ciara provided solace for the health professional during the dark days.
‘When life gives you a second chance, you better grab it with both hands… and Ciara is my second chance,’ he said at the event held at the Museum of Modern Literature on St Stephen’s Green in Dublin.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
