Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are set to grace our screens again in the coming months as everyone's favourite news executives.
The Emmy award-winning The Morning Show is set to return for its fourth outing in September and much has happened in the UBA offices but there's more bumps in the road to come.
Ahead of the season four return, here's what you need to know:
Cast
Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are of course set to return as Alex Levy and Bradley Jackson.
Also making a comeback is Jon Hamm as tech mogul Paul Marks and Billy Crudup as Cory Ellison. The season four cast also includes Nicole Beharie, Karen Pittman, Mark Duplass, Greta Lee, Néstor Carbonell, Jeremey Irons, Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper and Boyd Holbrook.
Joining the cast for season four is Marion Cotillard, who will play Celine Dumont,a board newcomer.
Plot
Season four picks up in the spring of 2024, two years after the dust has settled with the UBA and NBA merger and Jennifer Aniston has promised big things for the coming series.
The time around the political and cultural landscape is changing and the newsroom finds itself reporting on rampant corporate deception, deepfakes and widespread conspiracy theories.
The official release states that season four delves into 'the elusive nature of a polarized America' which is also trickling into an already tense newsroom, with fresh betrayals and serious questions being asked about media responsibility.
Jennifer has gone further and teased that the new season is 'action-packed' with Jon hinting that his Alex's situationship 'may not be over yet.'
Is there a first look trailer?
Yes! Apple dropped a trailer in July, and it's every bit as sizzling as you'd expect.
The clip opens with Alex and Bradley divided over the direction the station is going, with Reese Witherspoon's character urging Jennifer's Alex to stay on side, only for her to demand to have a say in the company.
'I have to do what's best for the network!' Bradley fires back before hinting at a cover-up with Alex saying that they have to 'question everything.'
As they walk, other characters appear as voices rattling around in their heads, including Chip, who was looking for dirt, and Corey speaking of how: 'It's nice to get someone to do your dirty work for you.'
'If you want to run this place, you have to really, really want it,' says Paul, and the clip wraps up with Corey saying that: 'It sounds like the drama at the network is juicier than the drama on the network.
