Freakier Friday is shaping up to be the sequel fans want and need 22 years after the original film's release.
The official trailer, which was released last month, sees Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis up to their old antics and swap bodies once more... but not with each other.
Here's everything we know about the upcoming film:
Cast

Freakier Friday has gotten the band back together, and we couldn't be any happier about it.
Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan return as our favourite mother-daughter duo Tess and Anna Coleman. Meanwhile Mark Harmon and Ryan Malgarini reprise their roles as Ryan, Tess' husband, and Harry, Anna's brother.
Prepare to swoon, ladies, as it's been confirmed that Chad Michael Murray will return as Jake!

Joining the original cast 22 years later are Julia Butters, who will play Harper Coleman - Anna's daughter - and Sophia Hammons, who will play Lily Davies - the daughter of Anna's new boyfriend.
Manny Jacinto, known for his roles in The Good Place and Top Gun: Maverick, joins the cast as Eric Davies, Anna's new beau.
Plot

Freakier Friday has a similar premise to Freaky Friday, though this time it isn't just Tess and Anna who swap bodies.
Oh no, as the title says, things are about to get even freakier when Anna's daughter Harper and Eric's daughter Lily get involved.
Tess ends up in Lily's body, while Lily ends up in hers. Meanwhile, Anna and her daughter Harper swap bodies in a similar fashion to the way Tess and Anna did in Freaky Friday.
Release date

Assemble a group of your gal pals as Freakier Friday is set for theatrical release on Friday, August 8.
Trailer

The trailer for Freakier Friday shows Anna in the lead-up to marrying her beau Eric. We learn that Harper and Lily aren't too keen on becoming step-sisters.
When they all switch bodies on that fateful night, Harper and Lily put their devious brains to work as they realise they have a better chance of splitting their parents up while mascaraing as adults.

The girls' plan is to reunite Anna with her first love, Jake, in the hopes that all the feels come flooding back.
The trailer also teases another musical performance from Lindsay Lohan, and we can only hope it's as much of a banger as 'Take Me Away' from the original film.
