It's a proud moment for any parent when your child wants to follow in your footsteps, and in Pádraig Harrington's case both of his sons appear to be teeing up careers in golf.
The sportsman and his wife Caroline, whom he wed in 1997, share two children- 21-year-old Paddy and 16-year-old Ciarán.
Here's everything we know about Pádraig's family life with Caroline, Paddy and Ciarán:
His wife Caroline

Pádraig and Caroline first met at their local golf club in Stackstown in South County Dublin when they were just teens.
She also has a grá for the golfing industry as she plays herself and grew up in a sporty family, with her dad being a one-time All-Ireland pitch and putt champ.
Caroline was by Pádraig's side through his amateur days, and watched him evolve into a golfing great. The couple went on to tie the knot in 1997 when she was 24 and he was 26 years old.
Their family

As aforementioned, Pádraig and Caroline have two not-so-little ones in their nest, Paddy and Ciarán.
The couple marked a milestone with their eldest last year when he turned 21 years old, while his younger brother is pulling up the rear at 16 years of age. It won't be long now until they're marking the same milestone with him!

Pádraig and Caroline, who live in Rathmichael in south Dublin, were also the proud parents of a Bernese Mountain dog named Wilson, who sadly passed away in 2024.
No doubt much to the delight of their children, the couple adopted a new puppy - another Bernese Mountain dog - named Rio, who now keeps their other pup Setanta company.
Following in dad's footsteps

Both Paddy and Ciarán seem keen to follow in their famous dad's footsteps.
Paddy has long been playing beside Pádraig and in December, the 21-year-old made his first ace as the father-son duo tied for third in the PNC Championship in Florida.

Speaking after the fact, Pádraig gushed: 'I've never been so excited in my life. It was a great shot, which is nice. I know my first hole-in-one wasn't a spectacularly good shot.'
'That was perfect swing, perfect shot, and when it went in, I've never experienced anything like it, the joy of it. Because obviously you can win tournaments and do that, and that's a different sort of pressure and excitement,' Pádraig continued. 'That was just pure joy.'

We're sure Paddy will soon be giving his dad a run for his money! Meanwhile, the 53-year-old teed off with his youngest son for the first time in the PNC Championship in Orlando in January 2024.
He previously said: 'It was actually Ciaran watching Paddy and I play together out there these last couple of years that really ignited his passion for the game.'
