Just when we thought it was all over, it looks like Christian Horner is back in the papers regarding the sex scandal that put him in hot water regarding his job and his marriage.

In 2024, Christian was at the centre of a scandal over texts he allegedly sent to a female employee. 17 months later, he was cleared of all accusations.

However, according to sources close to the couple, the woman linked with these texts was given a huge payout to drop her allegations.

The woman, who also worked for Red Bull, was allegedly given over three million euros to leave the company and to drop the allegations against the team principal of the organisation.

Her identity remains protected by legal anonymity, and when offered the deal, she was happy to move forward and forget about the allegations.

Christian was cleared of the claim during the summer, and any inappropriate behaviour. To this day, he still denies any wrongdoing on his part.

On a salary of 12 million euros a year, Christian was held in very high regard until earlier this year. Tensions were high at Spielberg just before the British GP. The team had not performed well in Austria, putting Christian in the spotlight.

The text message scandal didn't help the situation and contributed to the star being fired from the company.

After several weeks of negotiations, the settlement, which, in the beginning, stood at over €126 million (£110 million), if his contract was paid out in full, was reduced to a little over €91 million (£80 million).

The company thanked him for his hard work and dedication over the years, and in return, Christian stated that it was 'an honour and a privilege' to have worked with 'the most amazing group of talented and driven individuals.
