Lyra may be graceful and poised on stage while singing her angelic songs, but when it comes to daily life, the singer does have a cheeky side.
While the Cork woman's banter usually goes down a treat, there was one hilarious moment when she realised she may have taken it too far. The star had the moment of realisation whilst filming a show with former Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar.
Lyra recalled the moment she gave Leo a 'little bum smack' before realising that he was, in fact, not one of her close pals. The pair were together trekking through South Africa for RTÉ's Uncharted.
'I’m an awful bum smacker. I gave him a little bum smack, and I was like, "That’s the former Taoiseach of Ireland". I went back and I said, "Leo, I’m a very affectionate person. If I’m in your personal space or anything, please let me know," she told the Irish Times.
However, there was clearly no awkwardness between the pair, as they appeared to get on very well when the episode was released.

Lyra also opened up about how she doesn't subscribe to the same indulgent lifestyle that some other stars in the industry do. She prefers wearing Dunnes clothes to any designer labels.
She introduces her song Queen by prefacing that the bridge, where she talks about being 'dressed in Gucci and Bottega', is not true to her real life.

'I love Dunnes. By the way, that middle eight is fake news: I do not wear Gucci, Miu Miu, Fendi, or Prada.'
She also dished on her former pro rugby player boyfriend, whom she makes sure to keep out of the spotlight. 'I go away for weeks on end, and he’s like, ‘We’re hopefully going to have the rest of our lives together. We have time,' she told the outlet.
