*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The first-ever season of Traitors Ireland has come to a dramatic end and can officially go down in history as one of the best TV shows seen on RTÉ.
Only five finalists were left standing, and after a tense round table and two rounds of voting, the Faithful, Vanessa, Kelley, and Oyin, managed to snatch victory from the Traitors Nick and Ben and claim the €42,900 prize pot.
However, while the public applauded the worthy winners and the feel-good ending, there was one noticeable difference in the finale between the Irish and the UK version of The Traitors that some fans are complaining 'completely ruined' it.

In the recent series of The Traitors UK, once players make it to the final, contestants who are banished no longer reveal their identities as Traitor or Faithful, building more suspense for the remaining players as they no longer know if there are still Traitors amongst them.
At the final round table, the girls turned on Nick, with Kelley's swing vote proving fatal in banishing him from the castle. His Traitor reveal meant the Faithful knew there was only one Traitor amongst them.
The four remaining players moved to the firepit to play the endgame and host Siobhán McSweeney reminded them that if one of the players is a Traitor, they'd steal all the money. As the contestants voted again, Ben was banished and subsequently revealed he was a Traitor, leaving the girls sure they had won the game.

Some fans of the show couldn't understand why the show didn't follow the same blind final format as other versions of The Traitors, saying it stripped it of 'drama'.
One fan wrote: 'I'm glad the ladies won but it was handed to them by the producers having Nick and Ben reveal they were traitors.'
One of the best series ever produced for Irish television and the ending has absolutely sunk it. Don't have Nick and Ben reveal whether they're traitors and then you've got actual drama for the end game. What an anticlimax. #TraitorsIRL

Another frustrated viewer questioned: 'Why in the name of god did they make Ben reveal he was a traitor? Completely ruined the ending...'

People dropped some suggestions for the producers of the next Traitors Ireland series, with one saying: 'Last reveal should be the last round table, once they go to the fire pit no more reveals till they end the game.'
Meanwhile, others said that the prize fund needs to be increased, saying: 'Really enjoyable but for next season, RTE needs to up the prize money, play around with the tasks more and not have the traitors reveal themselves in the final.'
Either way, we already can't wait for season two!
I'm glad the ladies won but it was handed to them by the producers having Nick and Ben reveal they were traitors. The #TraitorsIRL final should have been done blind.

Great series overall but ending was kinda stupid and all the intrigue was ruined. Nick should have left without revealing the truth it would have made the endgame more dramatic. So yes a fabulous series that could have ended better. #TraitorsIRL

Ben shouldn’t have said if he was traitor after he left similar to the British version. Even though the Irish version has been fantastic, the ending was very anticlimactic #TraitorsIRL
