Oscar-nominated director Jim Sheridan has once again found happiness after opening up about his relationship with film director Zara Moufid.
Zara, who is originally from Morocco, is 25 years his junior and the couple also share an 18-year-old daughter, Clodagh, who, like her parents, has a real passion for the movie industry.
Finding love a second time around is something the Dublin man won't take for granted, as he knows that life is short and what can be given can be easily taken away in a matter of seconds.

It has been a tough few years for the director after his wife Fran, whom he had been married to for 50 years, died from lung cancer.
Jim and Fran share three daughters, Kirsten, Naomi and Tess. Like father like daughter, Kirsten and Naomi also followed their dad into the movie world. Kristen is an Irish film director and screenwriter, while Naomi is an Academy Award nominated screenwriter.
Speaking with the Irish Independent, Jim, for the first time, spoke openly about his daughter Clodagh, stating how 'it was no secret...I had a daughter with Zara, years ago. So I'd been in her life a lot but I'd never, you know, I'd never been able to live with her.'

Moving in with Zara and their daughter, Jim said, 'For the last year and a half, I've lived with Zara and Clodagh, and it's like a flower has opened up...a true 'sweetheart.'
For the dad of four, Jim believes that he has been given a second chance at not only love, but being a father as well as he has more time on his hands.

'My older three (daughters) will probably never forgive me for not being as good with them, but you know, I did my best. I think probably the one who had the hardest time was Naoimi. When she was born, I was working 18 hours a day. The eldest always gets the brunt of that.'
Despite being 76, Jim is determined to do the best he can for each one of them.
