The Tipperary hurlers are still on a high from winning the All-Ireland hurling championship, and for captain Ronan Maher, sharing this with his nearest and dearest made the celebration even more special.
For Ronan, hurling is certainly in his blood, with his brother Padraic a former player with the country team and their great-grandfather having been the first hurling captain.
The two-time All-Ireland champion made his debut in 2014, and over the years, along with support from his family, his girlfriend, Michelle, has always been there to support him through the highs and the lows.

Swapping his hurl for a golf stick, Ronan showed off his skills at the 2025 Amgen Irish Open at The K Club, teaming up with other celebrities such as Mark Wright, Bundee Aki, and Johnny Sexton.
After a successful stint on the course, Ronan spoke to EVOKE about life off the pitch and how he and Michelle came to be a couple.

'We met seven years ago, the two of us are local enough. I knew Michelle and we are now seven years together, so the pressure's on,' he laughed.
Praising Michelle, he said. 'She's great support on the field as well, and she understands everything off it as well, so it's great to have her around and listen to and the family as well.'
The couple keeps their relationship out of the public eye, but now and again, Ronan does open up about their personal life.
Chatting to Tipperary Live, the left-wing back revealed how he and Michelle had spent the festive season in 2022 in New Zealand.

He told them how 'it was probably up there with one of the best Christmases now, it was a bit different from usual. That probably has been one of the most memorable ones for me.'
The Amgen Irish Open Pro-Am returns to The K Club’s Palmer North Course on September 3, 2025, raising the curtain on a stellar week of golf, entertainment, and family-friendly festivities.
