The superstar is swapping out stadiums for some more intimate venues (if you consider 13,000 people intimate!) on the tour, which has been timed ahead of the release of his new album, Play.

Ed will hit Dublin on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, giving Irish fans plenty of time to learn the songs from his new album, which is set to be released on September 12.

The singer announced the news, saying: 'Coming to play some shows in Europe. These shows will be more intimate than a stadium show, obvz, but still will be incredible. I love playing these venues so much.'

Tickets for the concert will go on general sale at 10am on Thursday, September 11, and will be available to purchase via Ticketmaster.

They are expected to cost around €131.25 for a standing ticket and either €131.25 / €106.25 / €91.25 for seated tickets.

The news comes less than a month after the star made a surprise appearance in his family's native Wexford at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann.

He thrilled attendees when he performed his hits and some traditional Irish songs in a packed-out pub.

Ed performed on Wexford's South Main Street alongside Irish artists Amble, BIIRD, Beoga, and Aaron Rowe.

The 34-year-old recently received backlash after revealing he identifies culturally as Irish despite being born and raised in Suffolk, England.

He explained that he has a large Irish family, with his grandmother hailing from Gorey, and said he would spend his holidays in Ireland as a child.

'I class my culture as Irish. I think that's what I grew up with,' he explained on The Louis Theroux Podcast. 'My mum’s family is very, very small, it’s her and her parents, and my dad’s family is… he’s got seven brothers and sisters.'

'We’d spend all of our holidays in Ireland. My first musical experiences were in Ireland, I grew up with trad music in the house. So I identify culturally as Irish, but I was obviously born and raised in Britain,' he explained.
