The calendar may only have just turned to September, but we're already counting down the days till Halloween.
And one spooky event we don't want to miss at this time of year is The Nightmare Realm, Ireland’s ultimate scare fest which is back this October, in a brand-new home at the Royal Liver Retail Park, Inchicore.
The popular scare fest returns for a month of thrills running on selected nights from Saturday, October 4 to November 2 and is set to unlease it's most ambitious production yet, The Curse of the Five.

This year, as The Nightmare Realm has moved into a sprawling 7,000-square-metre venue, right beside the Kylemore Luas stop, it has allowed room for more scares with five brand-new, haunted mazes, a fully expanded HalloweenTown, and over 150 live performers.
The story of the Curse of the Five ties all five maze into a haunting mystery where guests will uncover the fate of five cursed souls as they navigate through the Realm. This year the five mazes include; Gallows Hill Asylum, Trappers, Clowns in the Attic, SILO C, and A Haunting at Blackmore.

The HalloweenTown food market returns with some devilish treats, live performances every night from dancers and aerialists, and a selection of spooky shops, including tarot card readings and a tattoo parlour.
Karl O’Connor, owner of The Nightmare Realm said: 'Halloween isn’t just one night - it’s a season, a subculture, a celebration of the weird and the wonderful. The Nightmare Realm is our stage for self-expression. It’s where monsters have meaning, and every scream has a story. We build it from scratch, then vanish like ghosts. In a world driven by tech, nothing beats the shared thrill of live scares.'

He continued: 'Our new home at Royal Liver Retail Park gives us the freedom to go bigger than ever. More space, more actors, more cinematic sets - this is the ultimate Realm experience.'
Speaking about the new storyline, The Curse of the Five, Co-Owner and director Sylvia O’Connor said: 'The Curse of the Five is our most ambitious storyline yet. Each maze connects to create one overarching mystery for fans to solve. We’ve always rebuilt our sets every year - but this time, we’ve built an entire world.'
