Brian Dowling and Arthur Gourounlian pulled out all the stops this weekend as they celebrated their daughter Blake's third birthday with a magical day at Emerald Park in Meath.
Although Blake doesn’t officially turn three until Monday, the couple decided to mark the milestone early, gathering family and friends for a special party with a Baby Shark theme.
The proud dads, who frequently share glimpses of family life online, posted sweet photos and videos from the celebration.
Blake, who has become a little star in her own right, looked adorable in a pastel rainbow dress with her hair styled in pigtails. Beaming with joy, she was showered with attention from her nearest and dearest.
Her aunt Aoife, who played such a special role in her arrival as the couple's surrogate, was there by her side, along with cousins and friends, including Pippa O'Connor's son Billy.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly Blake's colourful Baby Shark-themed cake, which captured the spirit of a toddler’s dream birthday.
In pictures shared from the event, she sat proudly in front of it as her family sang to her, before blowing out the candles with a little help from her dads.
The celebrations continued throughout the park, with Blake pictured giggling and enjoying the rides (in spite of the wet weather!) while holding tightly onto Brian and Arthur’s hands.
'Blake isn’t officially 3 years old until Monday, but today we celebrated her in style and rain,' Brian wrote alongside a carousel of photos from the day. ‘We had the best time and I can't believe our baby girl is already 3!!! How did that happen? Between this and her starting play school I’m an emotional wreck.’
It has been a big week for the family, with Blake also embarking on her preschool journey. The couple proudly documented her first day, showing her dressed in a little denim jacket and backpack, ready to take on the next stage of her adventure.
Arthur added his own touching tribute to their daughter’s milestone, calling her ‘our shining light’ and admitting he couldn’t believe how quickly the years have flown by.
