If you are one of the 80,000 people making the trip to Electric Picnic on Friday, 29 August, then make sure to pack a poncho as rain is forecast this weekend.
With hundreds of things to do across the weekend, here is everything you need to know to make the most of your trip to Stradbally...

Don't bring cash
Electric Picnic will be totally cashless this year, so there is no point bringing cash with you. Instead, organisers advise that festival goers bring a physical bank card with them, though Apple Pay will also work.
What not to bring
Like every year, certain items are permitted in campsites but not in arenas. Bags larger than A4 size (210 x 297 mm) will not be permitted outside of campsites.
Alcohol (before midnight), camping equipment and cutlery, disposable barbeques, campsite stoves, umbrellas, audio recorders, Gazebos/canopies, and sealed drinks will also not be allowed into the arena.
Meanwhile, megaphones, disposable vapes, glass items over 100ml, illegal or unidentifiable substances, weapons of any kind, kites, walkie–talkies, spray cans, and unofficial hi-viz or reflective jackets won’t be permitted anywhere inside the festival.
Age policy

You must be 18 years or over to attend the festival, with the exception of children aged 12 years and under. Children aged 13–17 years old are not permitted to attend the event even when accompanied by an adult.
Anyone wishing to stay in the Family Campsite must be accompanied by children aged 12 years and under.
Proof of age may be required to gain entry to the event, and so it is advised that you bring a form of identification. A passport, Garda Age Card, or Driving Licence will be accepted.
Camping

Every weekend festival tickets come with access to all standard campsite, including Jimi Hendrix, Samuel Beckett, Andy Warhol, Ériu, and Janis Joplin. They will open at 9 a.m. on Friday, August 29, and will be operating 24 hours a day.
All sites will be named a colour-coded for easy finding, and will include facilities such as showers, toilets, and Get Ready With Me stations which include mirrors, straighteners, and hairdryers.
For those who are a little more organised, Electric Picnic also offers pre-booked campsite options at no additional cost at the Glitterball, Eco, Poets, and An Láthair Ghaeltachta campsites.
And of course, for those who enjoy the finer things in life, the festival also offers boutique camping options, which can be found here.
