Two decades after Joey and Pacey finally realised they were meant for one another, the cast of Dawson's Creek is coming back together for a very special reason.
James Van Der Beek recently teased the reunion with a throwback Polaroid of the cast from their show days, set to Paula Cole's I Don't Want To Wait theme song and with a cryptic date in September.
Fans immediately went into meltdown, wondering what he might be hinting at, and now we know.

The 48-year-old actor was diagnosed with stage three colorectal cancer in 2023 and has become an advocate for spreading awareness.
This September, his former co-stars will rally around him at a high-profile event in support of F**k Cancer and the actor.

Katie Holmes, Michelle Williams, and Joshua Jackson, along with the rest of the main cast, will all join James on stage at the Richard Rodgers Theatre in New York City for a live reading of the show's 1998 pilot episode.
Also coming out to support James in the night will be Busy Phillips, Mary Beth Peil, John Wesley Shipp, Mary-Margaret Humes, Nina Repeta, Kerr Smith, and Meredith Monroe.
As per Variety, Michelle said of the event: 'We grew up in Capeside and that's a bond that will last a lifetime.
'We wanted to gather around our dear friend James and remind him that we are all here. We always have been, and we always will be. And I know the fans of Dawson's Creek feel the same way.'

It's a busy time for the actress, who has confirmed that she recently welcomed her fourth child, a baby girl by surrogacy.
Michelle and her hubby, Hamilton director Thomas Kail, have two other children together, while Michelle is also mum to a 19-year-old daughter, Matilda, from her relationship with Heath Ledger.
