After his April 2024 split from Lindsay Wallace, Princess Anne's son announced his engagement to Harriet in a joint statement, with both families celebrating their next chapter together.
Harriet slots right into the Royal family, seeming extremely comfortable around her fiancé's daughters, Savannah and Isla, as well as Queen Camilla, whom she attended the Badminton Horse Trials with during the couple's public debut.

Harriet is a Paediatric Nurse Specialist for the National Health Service. According to an online biography published by Woman Alive, she is 'passionate about early brain development in babies and seeing children thrive'.
Harriet also works as a freelance writer, and her work is often published in the aforementioned UK Christian women's magazine Woman Alive.
Family life
The nurse was born Harriet Eleanor Sanders in 1980 to her parents Mary Elizabeth Hoskins and Rupert Hugh Sanders. She has three siblings: Nicholas, Louisa, and Rebecca.
Based in Gloucestershire, Harriet was a single mum to her daughter for ten years.
'My daughter and I journeyed 10 years with only each other. I liken us to an island and it has often felt hard to imagine anyone joining that island... The unique relationship between a single mother and her child is forged in the fires of struggles and victories,' she wrote in an essay for Woman Alive.
Little is known about Harriet's ex-partner.
Faith
Harriet is a devout Christian. She is very outspoken about her faith.
'As a Christian, I see this bond as a reflection of God’s unwavering love for us. It teaches us about sacrifice, about the depth of love that is costly and willing to give without expecting anything in return,' she previously wrote in an extract for the magazine.
Appearances
The pair first went public in May at the Badminton Horse Trials, to cheer on Phillips's sister Zara Tindall. The couple stepped out alongside his daughters Savannah and Isla and the queen consort Camilla.
A source told The Sun at the time: 'They looked completely smitten and he was grinning from ear to ear. He looked like the cat that got the cream and acted without a care in the world.'
The pair then made headlines during their second outing together, after they shared a kiss at the Royal Ascot.
Most recently, Harriet and Peter looked loved-up as they turned out at Royal Ascot in June 2025, and the following month, stepped out to support Prince William at the Royal Charity Polo Cup 2025 at Guards Polo Club.
Engagement
Peter and Harriet shared the news of their engagement on August 1, with the pair sharing a sweet image of themselves with Hello magazine, where Royal photographer James Whatling said: 'You can't watch this couple for too long without noticing how close they are, they’re so tactile and they're clearly so in love. It was only a matter of time.'
Although no date for the wedding has been released yet, the couple seem happy to relish in their newly-engaged bubble.
