It turns out there is such a thing as a free lunch, but only for sushi lovers! One of the nation's best-loved sushi restaurants is set to reopen and will be serving up complimentary meals to celebrate.
Wagamama has been part of the Irish restaurant scene since it first opened its doors on South King Street in Dublin in 1998, later expanding to include restaurants at Blanchardstown and Dundrum Town Centre, but fans were devastated after the chain shuttered in Ireland in 2024 after receivers failed to make a deal with the UK-based parent company on how to restructure in Ireland.
Almost a year on, and there's some good news to report. After opening a new store at Liffey Valley in June, Wagamama is also now reopening its Dundrum Town Centre store in August.
The centre broke the news with a clip teasing a return of the store and the mounting anticipation.
'The wait is almost over! Wagamama Dundrum is re-opening this August,' the caption reads.
Inevitably, fans were thrilled with the news, with one writing: 'Amazing news' and another adding 'can't wait', but there was also more good news as Wagamama is hosting a series of preview events.
The preview event will allow customers to enjoy a main meal, and a side or dessert per person, as well as two regular drinks (excluding alcohol) or a large juice as they soak up the atmosphere in the new store.

FM104 reports that Wagamama has plans to open more stores in Ireland in the future.
