If you've been counting down the days until there are new Only Murders In The Building episodes to watch, we've good news as a release date for season five has finally been set.
The series, which stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez as neighbours turned podcast hosts and investigators, has turned into a huge hit since season one dropped in 2021.
In season five, the trio will reunite to look into another suspicious death that leads them into New York City's murky underworld.
A longline for the show reads: 'After their beloved doorman, Lester (Teddy Coluca), dies under suspicious circumstances, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) refuse to believe it was an accident.
'Their investigation plunges them into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond — where the trio uncovers a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia.
'The trio discovers a deeper divide between their storied city they thought they knew and the new New York evolving around them — one where the old mob fights to hold on as newer, even more dangerous players emerge.'
Sounds intriguing... so then, when can we watch season five? According to Variety, the first three episodes will drop on September 9, with new episodes then dropping one a week.
It's thought that the series, produced by 20th Television, will contain 10 episodes, and as new episodes were released every Tuesday for season four, it's expected the same will happen with season five.
The fourth season boasted the show’s most star-studded lineup yet, with the return of legendary performers Meryl Streep and Eugene Levy, alongside newcomers Zach Galifianakis, Eva Longoria, Richard Kind, Melissa McCarthy, Kumail Nanjiani, and Molly Shannon.
As well as the show's core stars, season five will star Michael Cyril Creighton as well as guest appearances from actors such as Meryl, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, and Renée Zellweger.
