The rumoured lineup for the 2025 show has been announced with some wholly unexpected choices leading the charge.
From soap stars to athletes and presenters, here's who might be lighting up the dancefloor in the autumn:
Stacey Solomon

It goes without saying that Stacey Solomon would be a huge win for Strictly bosses.
The mum-of-five has form in reality TV following her stint in the jungle, and not forgetting X-Factor, but has focused on her hosting gigs and business ventures in recent years.
That said, Stacey is said to be a huge fan of the show and might be tempted into a pair of dance shoes. She said in 2022: 'I would never say never, but I am a terrible dancer, an absolutely terrible dancer.
'I don't know why, but I have no rhythm when it comes to movement. I have rhythm with singing or listening to music, but when it comes to moving my feet, I am left-footed, I have two left feet!'
'But I am obsessed with it, I'm obsessed with the costumes. And also, I would love to learn a new skill like that. I love learning anything, to be honest.'
Stefan Dennis

Neighbours veteran Stefan Dennis is also touted to join the forthcoming series.
The actor who is famous for playing the womanising Paul Robinson on the long-running soap, which wrapped up for good in July, is a Strictly shoo-in according to The Sun.
'Stefan is a huge character on the soap and is sure to be a hit with Strictly fans. BBC bosses are confident Stefan will bring in the ratings.
'He has made no secret of the fact that he would love to star on Strictly and will put all into training.'
Dani Dyer

Love Island alum Dani is another popular star who is sure to be a hit with Strictly fans.
According to The Sun, Dani is also a frontrunner for the new series and has already signed a pre-contract to appear pending the outcome of pay negotiations.
The source told the outlet that bosses feel Dani's 'bubbly' nature and straight-talking manner will help drive ratings and pointed out that having her famous dad, Danny, and partner Jarrod cheering her on.
Paul C Brunson

Need To Talk podcast host Paul C. Brunson is another name circulating as a contender for the 2025 series.
He has been happily married to his partner Jill since 2000, with no public scandals for BBC bosses to be concerned about.
Paul has apparently met with Strictly producers on a number of occasions, driving speculation that he's set to appear.
Helen Flanagan

Helen Flanagan put her own name into the Strictly ring recently when asked on a podcast if she'd ever consider doing reality TV again, and she weighed up appearing on the show with her time in the jungle.
'I don't think so. I mean I'd love to do Strictly at some point. Yeah, I mean I'd be a rubbish dancer, don't get me wrong.
'I remember actually I was offered to do Strictly Come Dancing when I was thinking 22, and I was offered Strictly Come Dancing or the jungle, and I for some reason chose the jungle. I mean it worked out well for me in the end.'
'...I think the older the better when you do reality shows,' she went on to add.
Gladiator's star Nitro

Gladiator's Nitro might also be set to swap the eliminator for trying to avoid being eliminated on Strictly.
Harry Aikines Aryeetey thrilled fans when he appeared on the Strictly festive special, and was apparently in talks to appear on the show in 2024, with bosses reportedly 'desperate' to get him for the new series.
Vicky Pattinson

Vicky has also apparently been offered a spot on the new series after being previously spotted cheering on, pal, Pete Wicks, when he was on the show.
The Geordie Shore star has had a busy few years after marrying her partner Ercan Ramadan in 2024 and has all the makings of being a fan favourite, said the source.
Tom Parker Bowles

It's been reported that Camilla Parker Bowles' son Tom is also in the running to appear in the 2025 series.
Tom, who is the eldest son of the Queen, has already made a name for himself on MasterChef and would be another huge draw for the show.
Driving the speculation is that Charles and Camilla are reportedly huge fans of Strictly Come Dancing.
Georgia Toffolo

Georgia Toffolo is a reality TV veteran who is apparently right at the top of producers' wishlist.
A source said: 'Georgia is in talks to join - she would bring glamour, poise and fun to the show.
'She's been a huge hit on all the telly shows she's done and would be a popular contestant on Strictly.'
Thomas Skinner

Apprentice star Tom is another likely contestant who confessed that his decision to join the show might be prompted by his mum.
He previously told The Mirror that his mum 'would love him to do it.'
'Thomas hasn't any dancing experience, but he's up for giving the competition his best shot. Strictly bosses are hoping he'll get the dads watching. He has a massive following, especially with working-class blokes.'
Angellica Bell

Angellica Bell is another huge fan of the series and has 'watched every show.'
Fans believe that the TV presenter was previously a reserve but will be part of the main cast in the next series, so watch this space.
Mo Farah

Olympic running champion Mo Farrah has already proven his reality TV chops on the GBBO Stand Up To Cancer special and would be a great choice for Strictly.
'His personality would provide the perfect tonic to the toxicity that's overshadowed Strictly. Bosses would love to sign him up, but the talks are at a very early stage. '
Ashley Cain

Ex on the Beach star Ashley Cain is the final name associated with the latest series of Strictly.
Speculation that he might appear on the show first began in April, and bosses are said to love that he is a 'proper character.'
