Jenny McCarthy joined a host of other glitzy names at a special party hosted by President Higgins on Wednesday.
While she and her hubby, Martin, are well known in showbiz circles, Jenny actually had her son Alex to thank for the high-profile invite - a point she joked was hammered home on the day.
The party was held at Áras an Uchtaráin and marked the last garden party that Michael D. and Sabina will host before he finishes up his term later in 2025.
By all accounts, Jenny and Alex made the most of their time at the Áras and made sure to document the day in a series of pictures.
Some show them posing inside next to a series of busts and taking in the views from the garden, and naturally enough, they posed for the obligatory selfie in front of the Áras itself.
Jenny wrote: 'What an honour it was to attend the Áras last evening for a night with President Higgins and his wife Sabina.
'This was their very last garden party before he finishes later this year. Of course, my son Alex didn't let me forget that I was there on his invitation, thanks, Alex.
Jenny went on to share that so many of her followers had noticed the resemblance of Alex to his dad Martin, but she was adamant that 'he has my personality though.'
Her followers were divided, with some saying that Alex, who is an actor, is 'a lovely mix of you both' with others insisting that 'he is his dad all over.'
The glam bash drew a host of well-known faces, particularly from the country music scene, including Cliona Hagan, who was honoured to be asked to perform on the day.
