Queen Camilla has expanded her royal household by adopting a rescue puppy, Moley.

The lovable Jack Russell mix, adopted from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, comes after the loss of her dog Beth in November 2024.

Longtime supporter of Battersea, Queen Camilla’s love for the Jack Russell breed is well-known, and the introduction of Moley, with her charming oversized ears, continues the sweet tradition.

Moley is expected to be based at Ray Mill House, Queen Camilla’s private retreat in Wiltshire, yet will likely accompany the queen to various official residences and events.

This new puppy brings joy to a period of mourning for Beth, who, like Moley, was a cherished rescue.

Beth was featured in designs on the Queen's coronation gown, on royal portraits and on magazine covers.

Born in December, Moley made her first royal appearance in a photograph just before Queen Camilla’s visit to the Chelsea Flower Show.

Besides the puppy, the Queen also owns a Jack Russell Terrier called Bluebell, who, like Moley, is a rescue.
