Air Canada has officially kicked off its summer transatlantic schedule with the return of its popular non-stop service between Dublin and Vancouver, marking the latest boost to its growing European network.
The seasonal route resumed on Sunday May 4th and will now operate up to five times weekly—an increase from three in previous years—offering Irish travellers even greater access to the scenic west coast of Canada.
The route will also enjoy an extended season, now running from May through mid-October, compared to the traditional June–September window.

The ramp-up follows the suspension of Dublin Airport’s passenger cap, allowing airlines like Air Canada to expand operations and meet surging demand for long-haul travel.
Flight AC919 departed Dublin on Sunday, 4 May, landing in Vancouver after just nine hours, operated by the airline’s modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. The aircraft offers a choice of three service cabins: Signature Class with lie-flat seats, Premium Economy, and Economy, all featuring Air Canada’s award-winning inflight entertainment.

Bláithín O’Donnell, Sales Manager for Air Canada in Ireland, commented:
'We’re thrilled to expand our Dublin–Vancouver service in response to increasing demand. This extended schedule not only offers more choice and flexibility but also reaffirms our commitment to Irish customers traveling to Canada for business, leisure, or family visits.'
Return fares from Dublin to Vancouver start from €593, including taxes and charges, making the route one of the most affordable options for Irish travellers eyeing a North American summer escape.
