Rhys McClenaghan has had a tough couple of days after being forced to make a very tough career decision, however, it wasn't all bad for the Olympian, as several of his famous pals rushed to comfort him.
The gymnastics champion revealed that he had some 'unfortunate news' to tell his fans, explaining that he won’t be competing at this year’s European Championships due to injury.
Rhys didn't make the decision lightly, as he had tried to push through the pain, but ultimately realised that focusing on his health is more important.
'I tried my best to push through preparation, but an injury kept holding me back. I chose to prioritise being healthy and recovering for future competitions this year and be sure that I can put out my best work yet,' he wrote.
'I may not be retaining my European title, but the path to being the GOAT is still very clear,' Rhys added.
The Down man's comments were filled with messages of support as he revealed the upsetting news, with some of his Dancing With The Stars co-stars leading the way.

It will all come good. Chin up, pal,' Kayleigh Trappe wrote.
'Don’t worry Spidey you’ll come back stronger and smash it,' comedian Gearóid Farrelly said, making a gas reference to Rhys' Spiderman costume, which he wore for a dance on the RTÉ show.
The Dancing With The Stars crew wasn't the only people to offer well wishes to the champion gymnast, as some of his fellow Olympians also sent their love.

Team Ireland runner Ciara Mageean said: 'The right decision mate, that body has served you well, it deserves time to recover and come back stronger.'
Meanwhile, boxing legend Kellie Harrington left a hands raised emoji in support of Rhy's decision.
The 25-year-old also took to his social media to add an inspirational message, proving that he is still planning to be at the top of his game when his injury heals. 'Time to work harder than ever,' he wrote.
