'Life's not easy these days' Eamonn Holmes shares update after being rushed to hospital

Eamonn Holmes has provided fans with an update on his health after undergoing a very challenging week.

The former This Morning host ended up being taken to hospital in an ambulance after a nasty fall, after he began taking the first practical steps to end his marriage with Ruth Langsford.

The Belfast man shared a snap from his hospital bed after he fell in the bathroom of his home on Friday. He informed fans of the scare, sharing an image from the ambulance trip he took, as he lay on a stretcher.

'An unexpected journey this morning … bit of a fall on the bathroom floor. Gosh, it hurts. Thank you, ambulance crew,' the 65-year-old wrote.

He shared another update with his followers, saying: 'Not how I wanted to be spending the holiday weekend ... but life’s not easy these days. Thanks to everybody who is looking after me.'

Fans of the TV presenter rushed to offer their well-wishes, with one person saying: 'Oh no! Keeping all our fingers crossed you’re ok and back up and running asap,' while another said: 'Omg bless you, wishing you a speedy recovery x.'

'Oh my god Eamonn, hope your ok, hope your health gets better soon xxx,' a third person penned.

The hospital visit comes days after Eamonn began taking the first practical steps to ending his marriage to his former co-host Ruth Langsford by beginning to divide up their assets.

The pair split up after 14 years of marriage in 2024, with Eamonn promptly moving on with 42-year-old counsellor Katie Alexander.

The two television presenters pooled their assets into a company named Red, White and Green, of which they are both directors. The company was set up in 2021.

According to The Sun, new documents filed to Companies House indicate that cash deposits have dwindled significantly from 2023 to 2024 from £205,41 (€241,66) to £17,997 (€21,175). Ruth and Eamonn have also offloaded 'plant and machinery' with a value of 401,350 (€472,296).
