This summer, the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre will host The Rocky Horror Show, and bringing an extra spark to the stage is none other than broadcaster Jennifer Zamparelli.

Best known for her work on RTÉ’s Republic of Telly and Bridget & Eamon, Zamparelli is set to take on the role of ‘The Narrator’ in Richard O’Brien’s iconic rock ‘n’ roll musical The Rocky Horror Show from Monday 11 to Saturday 16 August 2025.

Joining her in the production is Australian superstar Jason Donovan, reprising his role as Dr. Frank N’ Furter after a sold-out Australian tour in 2024.

The Dublin stage will mark a reunion for the duo, who last shared the spotlight in the 2013 run of Priscilla Queen of the Desert, also at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre.

Speaking about the announcement Jennifer said: I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking on the role of the Narrator in the iconic musical The Rocky Horror Show when it comes to Dublin in August, it’s always been a favourite of mine!

It’s sexy, outrageously funny and it’s going to be so much fun working with such a brilliant cast including my old pal – the legend that is Jason Donovan! It’s certainly been a while, but I can’t wait to get started.’

The Rocky Horror Show follows the misadventures of Brad and Janet, a wholesome couple who stumble upon a mysterious mansion—and the flamboyant, unforgettable Dr. Frank-n-Furter. What follows is a whirlwind of hilarity, hedonism, and high heels.

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the show features timeless hits including “Sweet Transvestite,” “Dammit Janet,” and the irresistibly raucous “Time Warp.”

Tickets, starting at €35.00 (booking fees may apply), are on sale now via Ticketmaster. For full details, visit bordgaisenergytheatre.ie.
