The fantastic weather is set to continue this weekend, making it the perfect opportunity to spend time outdoors with family.

As we mark World Autism Month this April, it’s also a chance to come together and show support on walk for AsIAm, and there are many other events taking place to suit all interests and ages.

Same Chance Walk for Autism

This Saturday, communities across Ireland will unite for the Same Chance Walk for Autism. This nationwide movement, part of April’s World Autism Month, promotes understanding, acceptance and vital fundraising for AsIAm, Ireland’s Autism charity.
Two official walks will take place at noon at Malahide Castle, Co. Dublin and Lough Key Forest Park, Co. Roscommon, welcoming people of all ages and abilities to stand in solidarity with Autistic people and their families. Those unable to attend these locations can join one of the many walks organised in various local communities, ensuring support is felt nationwide.
Brunch with Bluey

Little ones are in for a treat as their favourite pup, Bluey, makes a special appearance at Kidspace for another fun-filled brunch event.
With plenty of singing, dancing and interactive fun, children will have the chance to meet Bluey for individual photo opportunities, so parents are encouraged to have their cameras ready. Fancy dress is always welcome, adding to the excitement of this popular event. A sweet pancake breakfast will also be served.
The session includes playtime in the playframe and is suitable for children up to 8 years. Space in the event area is limited to one adult per child, but families are welcome to join for photographs.
The Haircut | The Ark Temple Bar

Written by Wayne Jordan and Tom Lane, and starring Kwaku Fortune, this fresh retelling of the Irish fairytale Labhraidh Loingseach returns following its acclaimed 2019 run, accompanied by a vibrant live score.

Fundamania

Fundamania at Swords Pavilions is back, bringing non-stop thrills for families this weekend. From coaster rides and bumper car fun to a spooky ghost train and a classic Ferris wheel, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Visitors can choose between a three-hour unlimited ride wristband or a pay-per-ride option, making it easy to tailor the fun to suit the day. With tasty food stalls on-site, it’s the perfect way to keep the kids entertained after school or enjoy a fun day out with family and friends.
Five Lamps Arts Festival
Dublin | Until April 6th
Now in its 18th year, the festival continues to highlight the artistic vibrancy of Dublin’s North East Inner City, fostering community spirit through poetry, storytelling, visual art and live performances. This weekend’s highlights include a free Irish language walking tour of the Dublin Docklands and East Port area on Saturday with local architect Breandán Mac Aodha Bhuí.
The festival wraps up in style on Sunday with a Community Celebration at Mud Island Community Garden from 11am to 7pm. Expect live music, circus acts, children’s workshops and more in a fantastic family-friendly setting. A perfect way to round off this year’s festival with joy, creativity and community connection!
