Clueless is 30 years old. As if!
This fun-loving, sun-drenched film quickly reached cult-status for its clothes, its soundtrack, its catchphrases, all of it really.
Except, it's hard to imagine now that the cast was made up of an ensemble of mostly unknowns.
As we celebrate what has to be the film of the 90s, where are all the cast now?
Alicia Silverstone
While we couldn't imagine anyone else playing preppy princess Cher Horowitz, Reese Witherspoon and Sarah Michelle Gellar were also in the mix for the iconic role.
Alicia scooped up a bunch of MTV Movie Awards for her role and it made her a household name overnight.
She struggled to land anything bigger after Clueless, appearing in a number of films in the 90s including The Babysitter before becoming Batgirl in 1997's Batman & Robin. Alicia made her Broadway debut in 2002 with the stage version of The Graduate and starred in smaller film roles after including Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed.
The animal rights activist and New York Times best-selling author was most recently seen in the crime drama thriller Reptile co-starring Benicio del Toro and Justin Timberlake in 2023.
In 2024 the star was spotted in Ireland filming a six-part series called Irish Blood. Alicia plays a hot-shot divorce lawyer who comes to Ireland in search of her father but finds herself entangled in a murder mystery!
Alicia was spotted in Wicklow, particularly in Bray where some of the filming took place. .
Stacey Dash
It is hard to believe that Stacey was 27 when she landed the role of Dionne, some will argue, Cher's more stylish best friend. The hats!
The New York City-born actress reprised her role as Dionne on all three seasons of the film's TV adaptation.
She went on to appear in TV shows like CSI in the early 2000s, before turning her hand to political commentating for Fox News in 2014 and also ran for congress in 2018, but left the race. Oh and did we mention she stared in the music video for Kanye West's music video All Falls Down in 2004?
Stacey also appeared on the Dr. Oz Show in 2024 and shared her 'deepest darkest secret' of the Vicodin addiction she suffered for years.
The actress, who is now five years sober, claimed that she ultimately quit taking the drugs when she ‘almost died’ from a kidney infection.
Brittany Murphy
Brittany Murphy stole hearts as the loveable and not-so-clueless Tai Frasier.
Following Clueless, Brittany went onto build an impressive resume quickly, starring in films such as Girl, Interrupted, 8 Mile, Uptown Girls and Sin City.
The actress tragically passed away in her LA home in 2009. In the time that followed it was discovered that the actress had developed pneumonia. This was the primary cause of death but the star's autopsy also showed iron-deficiency anemia and 'multiple drug intoxication' from prescribed and over the counter medication that aided the actor's death.
Paul Rudd
Paul Rudd has gone on to become Hollywood's go-to nice guy since appearing as Cher's former brother-in-law in Clueless.
Paul Rudd has proved himself quite the chameleon, landing major supporting roles in hugely successful films like Romeo + Juliet before joining the cast of Friends in 2002 as Phoebe's other half Mike.
His comedy credits include everything from Anchorman, The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked Up and Forgetting Sarah Marshall to name but a few.
He became a real box-office smash when he took the lead role in Marvel's Ant Man, which he then reprised for Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: End Game.
And how can we forget his cameo in Chris O'Dowd's Moone Boy? In late 2024 the actor was spotted in Dublin for his latest movie Power Ballad.
Donald Faison
Donald Faison seemed to be quite the hit in the 90s, following up Clueless with regular appearances on popular teen TV shows such as Sister Sister and Sabrina The Teenage Witch.
Of course, he is probably most well-known for starring as Zach Braff's right-hand man in Scrubs.
He played the happy-go-lucky Christopher Turk for all nine seasons until the show eventually concluded in 2010.
In 2023, he landed a role in The Emergence but it was cancelled after its first season.
Justin Walker
Justin Walker played the smooth-talking, exceptionally-stylish heartthrob Cristian who Cher falls hopelessly head over heels for.
Clueless was Justin's biggest acting credit, which he followed up with films like Splendor Falls and later a co-presenting credit on The X Show in 1999.
Justin swapped the acting world for the business world in the mid-2000s, opening a restaurant in California amongst other ventures.
Jeremy Sisto
Jeremy played evil Elton, who most notably abandons Cher in a car park where she gets robbed at gunpoint in that Alaia dress.
After Clueless, Jeremy's next real big break came in 2001, when he appeared in all five seasons of HBO's Six Feet Under.
He also appeared in a number of critically acclaimed films, including Thirteen.
It seems he has found his niche with crime TV, starring in the final three seasons of Law & Order before taking on CBS's FBI in 2018.
Breckin Mayer
Breckin Mayer played the free-spirited, lovable rogue and Bronson Alcott High's most tardy student, Travis.
Already an established child actor before Clueless, Breckin was seen in comedies like Garfield and Rat Race and in the 2000s.
Breckin scored an Emmy nomination for his work on Robot Chicken in the 2010s and he most recently appeared in The Enormity of Life in 2021.
Wallace Shawn
Wallace's career began long before Clueless, making his big-screen debut in Woody Allen's Manhattan.
He has had a particular penchant for voice work, you will know him as the voice of Rex in Toy Story and he has also lent his dulcet tones to Pixar's The Incredibles.
He made his most recent appearance in Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made as Mr. Crocus.
Twink Caplan
Twink Caplan played Cher's sweet-natured teacher and progressive environmentalist, Miss Geist.
Many will have known Twink for her role in the Look Who's Talking trilogy before Clueless.
She was an executive producer on the film, and subsequently, the TV show.
She went on to have regular appearances on shows like Community and CSI.
Dan Hedaya
Dan Hedaya played Cher's father Mel Horowitz, the hustling lawyer with a heart of gold at the end of it all.
1995 was a big year for Dan Hedaya as he received an Emmy nomination for his role in NYPD Blue.
Dan has many stellar films on his CV from Mulholland Drive to Shaft, and he also appeared in TV shows such as The Mindy Project and Blue Bloods.
Well, we're off to rewatch Clueless now.
Be rude not to!
