This year's season of DWTS has only just begun and viewers have already predicted the winner!

Olympic gymnast Rhys McClenaghan already has an Olympic medal after claiming gold on the Pommel Horse in Paris 2024 and it looks like he's set his sights on the glitterball for his trophy cabinet as well.

He has been paired with the newly-engaged Laura Nolan as his professional dance partner and they were the last couple to take to the floor on Sunday evening.

They closed the show with a bang as they danced a salsa in matching, hot pink outfits and impressed the judges, scoring 31 points - the highest score of the night.

Rhys brought his gymnast moves to the dance floor and viewers at home loved it, praising him for his 'slinky hips' with one calling it an 'Olympic effort'.

Although it's early days, people were all on the same page as they called the dance partners 'potential winners'.

One wrote: 'OMG stop the count!! Rhys and his slinky hips have this in the bag,' while another said: 'Rhys and Laura slayed that!! Too early to call potential winners?'

A third wrote: 'Hand Rhys the crown already he has the most popularity our Olympic King and we all know he can dance.'

Only time will tell if Rhys can dance all the way to the final... but we know we'll be glued to our TV screens on a Sunday night for the next 10 weeks to find out!
