Aoife Scott's boyfriend surely made her Christmas when he gave her the greatest gift of all, an engagement ring!
He popped the question to the singer in Dublin and there is no doubt that the wedding will be a musical affair, as Aoife is the daughter of Frances Black and niece of Mary Black.
As if that's not enough talent for one family, her first cousins are The Coronas frontman Danny O'Reilly and his sister Róisín O. Andy also appears to be a musician, with the couple playing gigs together.

Aoife shared her happy news on Christmas Day, posting a selfie of the pair beaming from ear to ear, while she held up her hand to show off her brand-new diamond ring.
The newly engaged couple stood on a street in Dublin city centre as they posed for the snap, which Aoife posted to Instagram.

'Dublin can be heaven,' she captioned the post. 'This fella asked me to marry him. And I said yes.'
Aoife also used the opportunity to wish her followers a Happy Christmas and to call for a free Palestine in Irish. 'Happy Christmas! Nollaig Shona daoibh go léir. Saoirse don Phalaistín,' she ended the post.
People flocked to the comments to congratulate Aoife and Andy on their happy news.
Fellow singer Cliona Hagan led the way, writing: 'Huge Congratulations guys,' coupled with a red heart emoji.

'Aw such fabulous news Aoife and Andy. So thrilled for you both! Wishing you both all the happiness in the world! Comhghairdeas XXX,' another person wrote.
'Too much cuteness in one picture. The best Christmas picture of 2024! Comhghairdeachas!!,' another person said, while a fourth said: 'Congrats Aoife! What a fabulous couple!'
Congratulations Aoife and Andy!
