Prince William has already dubbed 2024 as the 'hardest year' of his life so it's perhaps no surprise that he and Kate Middleton picked a particularly poignant snap for their Christmas card.
The reveal of the royal families' cards has become somewhat of a tradition, with William's brother Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle sharing a new photo of their children on theirs just last week.
On Thursday, Wills and Kate's was revealed with the couple also opting for a snap showing what's most important to them - their family.

Instead of a posed picture, the couple chose a candid photo taken during Kate's recovery from cancer treatment at their beloved home in Norfolk.
The image, first seen by the public in a video, shows them beaming grins as they sit on a hay barrel with their three children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis - surrounding them.

Kate's head is seen touching her smiling daughter's and her other hand rests on her husband's leg while William wraps a protective arm around his wife all while holding their youngest child at his side.
The message on the cream card is a simple one, reading: 'Wishing you a very happy Christmas and New Year.'
Royal fans were delighted to see the 2024 Christmas card, with one person writing: 'Perfect Christmas card for everyone who watched the video. Have a blessed and healthy celebration.'
Someone else penned: 'Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Best Wishes for the year ahead. Now THAT is how you do a Christmas Card.'

Prince William spoke candidly about the tough year his family has faced in an interview in South Africa in November.
He said: 'Honestly, it's been dreadful. It's probably been the hardest year in my life. So, trying to get through everything else and keep everything on track has been really difficult.
'But I'm so proud of my wife, I'm proud of my father, for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it's been, yeah, it's been brutal.'

Kate's cancer diagnosis was revealed to the public following much speculation in March with the Princess of Wales sharing a moving video of herself talking in her garden.
In the clip she said: 'It's been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me for which I am so grateful.'

The mum-of-three underwent major abdominal surgery in January and after sharing her public message continued to recover at home before returning slowly to public duties.
Kate is not the only member of the royal family who has faced heath battles this year, with King Charles also facing a cancer diagnosis as well as Fergie, who revealed she had breast and skin cancer.
